    nice coffee spot
    easy access to trains

great spot for exploring charming local attractions and nature

I had a nice time walking just a few steps to enjoy coffee at Rio Chama Espresso and loved being less than a 5-minute walk from the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, making my city stroll so much easier and more enjoyable.

Cute classic old hotel with vintage rooms. A flat-screen TV with cable channels, central heating and a coffee machine in the room and the nice bed. What an outstandingly accommodating and welcoming staff. Comfortable and decent location 5 min walk to downtown.

The location turned out to be historic. My queen room with comfortable beds and hot shower, as example was modern.

    friendly staff
    great location
    unique character
    small room
    bathroom updates
    cramped space

This hotel has a fantastic location right across from the train station. Staff members were friendly. The old building has tons of character and really captures that quaint, nostalgic feel. I loved sitting on the terrace in the evening, chatting with the host and watching the world go by. The room was on the smaller side was nice. The bathroom could use a bit of updating as well. It offered a unique experience, but expect some quirks due to its age.

    quaint hotel
    helpful staff
    good food
    dated amenities

Chama Hotel offers a charming glimpse into Americana with its quaint decor. Close proximity to the train station added convenience to our road trip. Enjoyed the friendly service at the cafe despite some dated amenities. A unique experience, but watch out for the musty smell.

    enjoyable meals
    confusing check-in
    ageing facilities
    unpleasant lobby

The staff was friendly, contributing to a cute atmosphere. Meals were enjoyable, particularly the Thai dishes offered. There was confusion regarding room assignments upon arrival, leading to a less than satisfactory check-in process, and the lobby left much to be desired.

Visiting for the steam train, our brief stay was enchanting. the location opposite the train station offers unbeatable convenience. the friendly staff and historic ambiance added to the charm. the building's character complements the steam engine experience perfectly. Enjoyed a relaxing evening on the terrace chatting with the host. Will definitely return next year.

Would be happy to recommend this hotel.
